Upperman Basketball Teams Win Over Bradley Central and Lipscomb Academy

The Upperman basketball program went 2-0 on Friday as the Bees earned a 67-58 win over Lipscomb Academy, and the Lady Bees topped Bradley Central 54-36.

The Bees (3-1) raced out to a 15-point halftime lead, and overcame a push by LA in the second half to earn their third straight win.

Collin Gore led the way with 26 points. Alex Rush and Jace McWilliams each tallied 14 in the contest.

The Lady Bees (4-0) used a strong second half to knock off AAA powerhouse Bradley Central and remain undefeated.

Upperman led 24-22 at halftime. Eight third-quarter points by Brooklyn Crouch helped propel UHS to the 18-point win.

Crouch led the way with 17 points. Reagan Hurst tallied 11 while Torie Brooks added 10.

Both UHS teams will return to the court Saturday at Lebanon High School. The Bees will take on Mt. Juliet at 2:30. The Lady Bees will take on Loretto at 4:00 p.m.
