“No one thought we would have a season, but luckily we did,” said Owen.

His season included highlight-reel plays against top teams, like an 82-yard touchdown run against powerhouse Riverdale.

Defensively, Owen added two interceptions for CHS.

He has been in the spotlight in the Upper Cumberland since earning the starting quarterback spot in 2019. Owen said it has been fun.

“It’s been fun,” said Owen. “I loved every single bit of it. I just play as hard as I can on the field and do my best off the field too.”

Owen has committed to continuing his academic and athletic career at Brown University. He is committed as an athlete, with his versatility giving the Brown Bears several options for where he can play.

“I’m just going to keep working,” said Owen. “I’ll be doing quarterback, running back, slot receiver. I’ll be working on every position.”
