Welcome to the WEEKEND!!!!
FREE BARN DANCE SATURDAY, JUNE 26th PRESENTED BY GOOD NEIGHBORS THEATRE AT BYRDSTOWN ACTIVITIES PARK ACROSS FROM TOWN HALL! Bring your dancing shoes, chair and be ready to line dance the evening away. If you don’t know how, no problem. They will be teaching as well. Cross Brothers Band will be performing. Good Neighbors Theatre is also starting their Pig games back again on the 2nd Tuesday each month at 1PM at the Theatre site. The cost is $5. A great time is sure to be had by all.
The Town of Byrdstown will be having a special called meeting on June 28th at 5PM at Town Hall.
Next weekend is the 4th of July weekend and there will be plenty going on around the area. This is what I have as of now. (If you are a Chamber Member and have something you want to be announced in the newsletter next week, please send us that information.) Town of Byrdstown will be holding the Annual Independence Day Celebration starting on Friday evening with water slide, bouncy houses, and it will be movie night showing “Tangled”. Saturday, is chocked full of old fashion fun and games, live music and fireworks! Saturday, July 3rd is Cajun Day at Highland Manor Winery. Obey River Grill/East Port Marina will have trivia, karaoke, and live music over the weekend.
This weekend and soon! Live Music Friday and Saturday evening at Dixie Cafe (Friday only this week), The Steel Coop and Sulphur Creek Resort/Mike’s Landing Restaurant and Lounge. Plenty of other great food out there! You can find our member places to dine at this link as well: www.dalehollow.com/dine. (Please note: Farmhouse Restaurant will be closed until Monday, June 28th for maintenance.) Cordell Hull Birthplace State Park has a variety of workshops happening. Space is limited so you need to register for the one(s) you are planning to attend to insure availability! Good Neighbors Theatre will be having Drama Camp July 12-16. Sign ups are underway. Call Missy Davis at (931) 704-1894 for more information or to register. The Gala will be September 18. Also, the Pickett County Library will be having the Summer Reading Program coming up in July. Find more information here. The Town of Byrdstown 3K/5K to benefit St. Jude will be held the 2nd Saturday in October. Mark you calendar for that as well. This year that will be Oct. 9, 2021.

The Rescue Squad meets the 1st Thursday of each month at the Rescue Squad Building at 7PM
July Chamber Board of Directors Meeting will be held on July 8 at 11AM at the Bobcat Den.
