Welcome to the Weekend!! Wow! Three weeks until Labor Day! Where has time gone? We would like to welcome First Baptist Church of Byrdstown and Dale Hollow Tacos to our membership! Welcome! Everyone, go like their pages and stop by see them. Family Fun and Events – Byrdstown will be having their Back to School Bash and movie tonight starting at 5PM with water fun and drawing for UT Tickets. The movie will be “Sandlot”. Get the details here. We have a farmer planning to be at the market in the morning (Saturday) and then again next Wednesday and Friday, possibly Saturday. Lots of great produce. It’s time to RSVP for their fundraising Gala on September 18 at 6PM. We still have plenty of space in the Fall Dale Hollow Bass Classic on October 2 & 3, 2021. If you didn’t get a form, you can download the form here. The Rollercoaster Yard Sale will be that weekend as well – September 30-Oct. 2. The Town of Byrdstown 3K/5K will be the following weekend – on October 9, 2021. More information will be coming soon about the 5K/3K. If you would be interested in sponsoring/donating this year, please reply to this email and we will get things worked out for you. We are celebrating our 10th year and would like to make our donation amount be $10,000.00 for 10 years! We appreciate your helping the committee reach their goal.  COMING UP THIS WEEKEND AND SOON: Obey River Grill/East Port Marina will have trivia tonight (Friday and every Friday night this season). Live Music:Friday and Saturday evenings at Dixie Cafe, The Steel Coop, and Sulphur Creek Resort/Mike’s Landing Restaurant and Lounge (EVERY NIGHT)! Cordell Hull Birthplace State Park has a variety of workshops happening. Space is limited so you need to register for the one(s) you are planning to attend. The Town of Byrdstown 3K/5K to benefit St. Jude will be held the 2nd Saturday in October. Library Pickett County Commission will meet on Monday evening, August 16 @ 6PM at the Pickett Co.
