The Cookeville Cavaliers’ golf team finished the TSSAA Class AA State Tournament tied for fifth at the Sevierville Golf Club.
The Cavs shot 603 over two rounds, including a 294 in the second round on Tuesday for a +27.
CHS shaved 15 strokes off their score from round one to two, and the 294 was tied for 2nd lowest score of the round.
Luke Caldwell and Joseph Agee each shot 69 (-3) on Tuesday. Jakob Smith shot a 76 (+4). Caleb Scott took 12 shots off his score in round two, shooting an 80 (+8). Ethan Poston shot an 87 (+15).
Caldwell’s two-day total of 139 was third lowest in the field. Agee’s 141 was tied for fifth.
In individual girls’ action, Daniella Pryor finished tied for eighth with a two-day total of 157 (+17).
