Monterey Volleyball Advances In District Tournament

The Monterey Lady Wildcats defeated Oliver Springs Monday night 3-0 (25-16, 25-21, (25-20) in the first round of the District 3/A volleyball tournament. 

In a win-or-go home situation, the Lady Wildcats capitalized on their opportunity to make it past the first round of the district tournament. 

“They did so well and played whole heartedly and played awesome,” said MHS head coach Sara Fredley.

The Lady Wildcats will face the number one overall seed in the district Harriman at 5 p.m. Tuesday night in Monterey in another elimination match.

“They need to play exactly how they did tonight, all for one,” said Fredley.
