The Junior Cavs Cross Country Team competed in the mid-state regional qualifier this past Saturday in Macon Co. The boy’s varsity team finished in 2nd place overall and will go on to compete in the state championships this coming Saturday in Knoxville. The boy’s varsity team is (in order on the photo attached from L-R) Joseph Rohman (ATMS), Levi Detwiler (ATMS), Deacon Daniels (PSMS), Jase Clopton (ATMS), Lane Kennedy (PSMS), Ben Rohman (ATMS), and Ashton Risher (AMS). Congrats to Jase Clopton on a team-best and 7th place overall finish with a time of 12:48, as well as Lane Kennedy on his top 10 finish with a time of 12:51.
Also, qualifying for the middle school State Championships are four individual runners from the girl’s varsity team. The girl’s varsity team was made up of (in order on the photo attached from L-R) Emma Cook (ATMS), Sheyene Holt (AMS), Taylor Shearer (ATMS), Ava Wesley (Homeschool), Rowan Abril (AMS), and Hadley Fox (ATMS, not pictured). Congrats to Emma Cook, Sheyene Holt, Taylor Shearer, and Rowan Abril for qualifying to compete in the State Middle School Championships.
