White County’s Jeremiah Gardenhire Signs With TSU

White County golfer Jeremiah Gardenhire took the next step in his academic and athletic career when he signed his National Letter of Intent to golf at Tennessee State University.

Gardenhire said he is continuing a long line of family members who have attended TSU, and is excited to golf at the Division 1 level.

“My great grandpa attended and graduated from TSU. My grandfather attended TSU. My mom attended and graduated from TSU. My sister currently attends TSU,” said Gardenhire. “From the beginning I wanted to play there.”

Gardenhire said he knows his family is proud of him.

“It’s amazing. My family is proud of me,” said Gardenhire. “I’m proud of myself. A lot of hard work has brought me to this situation.”

Gardenhire said he is preparing for the team atmosphere of collegiate golf.

“One of the things that the coach talked about… is it’s a lot of teamwork,” said Gardenhire. “If we can do that, we can bring home some trophies.”
