From press release: PUTNAM COUNTY, TENN. – Putnam County School System (PCSS) Transportation was awarded a Certificate of Excellence from Tennessee Highway Patrol for passing their annual bus inspections with high marks on their 84 school bus fleet.
“Every PCSS bus passed inspections. I am very proud of our bus garage mechanics. We have four here. This means we make good choices and do the best job possible for the safety of our students and comfort of our families,” said Kim Bradford, PCSS Transportation Supervisor. “It’s hard to have a fleet our size and every bus pass, this is a big deal and we are thrilled.”
Putnam County School System’s transportation is a top producer out of the 16 districts Trooper Craig Wilkerson and his team inspects.
“For the number of buses PCSS has, they are a top producer. We inspect fleets as big as 150 and as small as eight that do not achieve Certificate of Excellence status, which means we found some sort of defect, ” said Trooper Wilkerson. “Our hope with awarding districts for excellence is that the work continues to be taken seriously as the most precious cargo is carried on those buses. The mechanics at Putnam County pay attention to detail and I believe they know the expectations that have been set by Kim, their supervisor, as well as us. They take it seriously and it shows.”
