Tigerettes’ Season Comes To An End In Loss To Jo Byrns

The Gordonsville Tigerettes got another great start from freshman Kailey Plumlee on Friday, but it wasn’t enough, as their season came to an end in a 3-1 loss to the Lady Devils.

Plumlee struck out six batters through the first two innings, but Jo Byrns finally got through to her in the third thanks to an RBI single and two errors that scored runs and gave the home team on the scoreboard a 3-0 lead.

That was all the run support Jo Byrns starter Korey Harris needed, as she allowed just one hit to the Tigerettes through seven innings of work to lead her team to victory.

When all was said and done for Plumlee, she struck out 18 batters in total in a tough-luck loss to end the season.

For the State Tournament, Plumlee struck out a total of 64 batters over a four-game span.
