REGION REALIGNMENT: Multiple UC Football Teams Changing Classifications, Regions In 2023

Multiple high school football teams across the Upper Cumberland will see new region foes in 2023 following TSSAA’s region realignment earlier this year.

Along with new regions, multiple UC teams changed classifications for the upcoming season.

Notable changes include White County’s move from Class 5A to Class 4A and Smith County moving from Class 3A to Class 2A.

Complete region football alignments for each Upper Cumberland program (noted in bold) are as follows:

NOTE: Pickett County football has 9 scheduled games in 2023, but the Bobcats are not competing in a region and will be ineligible for postseason play.
