Girls soccer kicked off in Jamestown Tuesday evening as the York Institute Lady Dragons hosted the White County Warriorettes, though neither team left victorious as they tied 1-1.
York Institute struck early as junior midfielder Taylor Beaty scored on a shot from outside the 18 less than 5 minutes into the contest to give the Lady Dragons a 1-0 lead.
White County answered with 14:47 remaining in the first half as Emily Ferris found the back of the net for a Warriorette goal to tie the game at one.
Neither team would score in the remaining 54:47, ending the non-district game in a 1-1 tie.
Up next, White County is scheduled to host Sequatchie County on Thursday while York Institute is scheduled to host Jackson County next Tuesday.
