The York Institute Dragonettes picked up their first win of the volleyball season Tuesday afternoon as they swept Red Boiling Springs in non-district play, 3-0.
The Dragonettes took the first set 25-14 before winning the second and third by a 25-18 margin.
Tuesday’s win improves York Institute to 1-1 overall in 2023 following Monday’s season-opening loss at Clarkrange.
Both teams will be in action again on Thursday as York hosts Clarkrange in a rematch of Monday’s contest while Red Boiling Springs is scheduled to host Clay County at 5 p.m.
