The second round of the TSSAA football playoffs kicks off on Friday with six area teams competing for a quarterfinal berth.
Headlining the action is UCR’s game of the week featuring the Class 4A #1-ranked Upperman Bees taking on the 9-2 overall Macon County Tigers in a rematch of their week 3 thriller that the Bees won 35-34.
UCR will also livestream White County’s second-ever appearance in the second round on UCR2 as they travel to Loudon to take on the undefeated #5-ranked Redskins.
On UCR3, York Institute hosts second-round action in Jamestown as they welcome region foe Polk County to the Mountain.
Also in action in the Upper Cumberland are Clay County hosting Whitwell and Monterey traveling to Westmoreland.
