White County High School will be looking for a new head football coach following the resignation of Curtis Beaty Thursday morning after two seasons at the helm.
Beaty issued the following statement to UCR:
“Over the course of my time with White County, I have witnessed incredible growth in our players, both on and off the field. It has been an honor to work alongside such a dedicated coaching staff and to be a part of this wonderful community. The memories I have built here, the relationships formed, and the shared moments of success will always hold a special place in my heart. I was able to witness first hand this program come from the ashes of a 27-game losing streak to one of the best programs in Class 4A.
Most of the time in this sport, coaches have to choose other people’s children over their own. For me at this point in my life I cannot do that anymore. Football isn’t going anywhere but my daughter, Indi Ann, is 2 years old and I’ll never get this moment in time again!
Thank you Sparta, you took a chance on a boy with a dream and I’ll forever be grateful for that opportunity! Go Warriors forever!”
Beaty and the Warriors went 10-3 overall last season and made the first state quarterfinal round appearance in school history. More on the White County head coaching search will be shared when available.
