A historic run for the Cookeville High School boys soccer team came to a close Thursday evening in Murfreesboro as the Cavaliers (19-2-2) fell to Bartlett 1-0 in the Class 3A state tournament semifinals.
Cookeville defeated Houston 2-1 in Wednesday’s state quarterfinals to reach Thursday’s semifinals, tying the deepest run in program history (2017, 2019). The Cavaliers finish 2025 as champions of District 7-3A and Region 4-3A.
Cavalier seniors include Jonathan Gomez, Amando Oliver Simon Domingo, Jesus Juan-Mendez, Leo Gomez, Drew Fair and Brayden Gallagher.
