EXPERT PREDICTIONS Presented By TLT Sports Performance: Week 11

Thursday, Oct. 30

Week 11

Noah: 80-19

Justin: 80-19

Jacob: 81-18

Goose: 79-20

Guests: 78-21

This week’s guest pickers are the trio of UCR wives: Madeline Lindsay, Madison McKay and Desiré Vinson. They already think they know it all, so let’s see how they do picking football games! *For the guest picker overall record, the team selected the most by the wives will be used as the official pick*

Macon County (7-2) at Upperman (7-2) (GOTW) (Thursday)

Noah: Upperman 42-14

The Bees have dominated UC competition, and while Macon County has played Upperman better than anyone in recent years I think Bronzden Chaffin caps off a Mr. Football season with another strong performance.

Justin: Upperman 35-14

Jacob: Upperman 42-7

Upperman has dominated everyone they’ve played in the region this season and I think that continues in week eleven. Macon County is the last team to beat this Upperman from Region 4-4A, and it ended their season last year in the second round. That coupled with the prolific offense the Bees have will be the difference in this one.

Goose: Upperman 49-28

One of the season’s most anticipated matchups goes down in Baxter on Thursday as the defending Class 4A state champion Macon County Tigers head south to Baxter. As fun as this matchup has been in years past, I’ll take Upperman to handle business to close out the regular season.

Madison: Upperman 42-17

Desiré: Upperman 28-14

Madeline: Upperman 49-30

White County (7-2) at Stone Memorial (8-1) (UCR2) (Thursday)

Noah: Stone Memorial 28-14

Stone has handled their business impressively the past several weeks. Can Sparta get back to running the football? If they can, they have a great shot at a road win. Ultimately I think the Panthers can make enough explosive plays to get the win.

Justin: Stone Memorial 21-20

Jacob: Stone Memorial 28-14

Sparta really struggled last week against Upperman while Stone handled business against DeKalb County. It’s a huge game as the winner gets to host a playoff game. I like Stone’s recent form and think their offense can give some troubles to the White County defense.

Goose: Stone Memorial 34-27

A home playoff game is on the line Thursday in Crossville as Stone Memorial hosts White County. The weather is looking just plain nasty, and that plays into White County’s hands. But Stone Memorial isn’t out of tricks as the potent Panther offense will have creative ways to move the ball. I’ll take the homestanding Panthers in a close one.

Madison: Stone Memorial 21-14

Desiré: Stone Memorial 21-14

Madeline: Stone Memorial 37-12

Cookeville (3-6) at Lebanon (8-1) (UCR3) (Thursday)

Noah: Lebanon 21-7

What a season for the Blue Devils. Their explosive run game has been consistent the whole season, and while I like how Cookeville has battled I think a focused LHS squad gets it done at home.

Justin: Lebanon 31-17

Jacob: Lebanon 28-14

Cookeville got a heck of a win last week at Mt. Juliet for the first time this century and gave themselves an opportunity for a good seed heading into the playoffs. The Cavaliers looked really good against the Blue Devils last season, but this year’s Lebanon is really solid. I like the Blue Devils run game to control the flow of this one.

Goose: Lebanon 38-21

Lebanon is a unit this year and is a much tougher matchup than the last few years. The Cavaliers can definitely hang with them, but I’ll take Lebanon to close it out late.

Madison: Lebanon 28-7

Desiré: Lebanon 28-14

Madeline: Lebanon 42-20

Smith County (4-5) at Gordonsville (9-0) (Thursday)

Noah: Gordonsville 35-14

Justin: Gordonsville 24-7

Jacob: Gordonsville 28-14

Goose: Gordonsville 42-24

Madison: Gordonsville 28-7

Desiré: Gordonsville 35-14

Madeline: Gordonsville 49-14

Grundy County (7-2) at Jackson County (5-4) (Thursday)

Noah: Grundy County 28-21

Justin: Jackson County 28-27

Jacob: Grundy County 28-21

Goose: Grundy County 28-26

Madison: Grundy County 28-20

Desiré: Jackson County 28-14

Madeline: Jackson County 34-28

Jo Byrns (5-4) at Clay County (8-1) (Thursday)

Noah: Clay County 28-14

Justin: Clay County 29-22

Jacob: Clay County 35-14

Goose: Clay County 48-17

Madison: Clay County 32-14

Desiré: Clay County 28-14

Madeline: Clay County 36-8

Marion County (8-1) at York Institute (1-8) (Thursday)

Noah: Marion County 42-6

Justin: Marion County 24-17

Jacob: Marion County 28-14

Goose: Marion County 49-16

Madison: Marion County 42-7

Desiré: Marion County 35-7

Madeline: Marion County 42-12

Clinton County (KY) at Pickett County (0-8) (Thursday)

Noah: Clinton County 35-0

Justin:Clinton County 38-0

Jacob: Clinton County 28-7

Goose: Clinton County 42-16

Madison: Clinton Co 28-0

Desiré: Clinton County 28-0

Madeline: Clinton County 42-8

Livingston Academy (5-4) at DeKalb County (3-6) – UCR

Noah: Livingston 27-21

For a game with no postseason implications, it still feels like an important one, particularly as Livingston hopes to earn their first winning season since 2020. I think that motivation coupled with some explosive plays for the LA offense propels them to a road region win.

Justin: Livingston 34-10

Jacob: Livingston Academy 28-14

The Wildcats were so close to mounting a tremendous comeback last week against Macon County and I think they keep it rolling into the final week of the regular season. DeKalb has played some much better football these last few weeks and this should end up being a really good football game. I like LA’s offensive attack to get the job done.

Goose: DeKalb County 26-21

This game is so hard to get a feel; both teams are looking to close their seasons out with a win, but neither will be playing next week in the playoffs. I feel DeKalb County is better than their record indicates, and I’ll take the Tigers at home.

Madison: Livingston 21-20

Desiré: DeKalb County 14-7

Madeline: Dekalb County 19-14

Innovation Academy (1-8) at Red Boiling Springs (0-9)

Noah: Innovation Academy 20-13

Justin: Innovation Academy 18- 10

Jacob: Innovation Academy 28-14

Goose: Innovation Academy 36-18

Madison: Innovation Academy 21-14

Desiré: Red Boiling Springs 21-14

Madeline: Innovation Academy 28-21

Whites Creek (6-3) at Cumberland County (2-7)

Noah: Whites Creek 42-7

Justin: Whites Creeks 31-14

Jacob: Whites Creek 35-0

Goose: Whites Creek 14-8

Madison: Whites Creek 42-3

Desiré: Whites Creek 35-7

Madeline: Whites Creek 27-13
