The Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association voted to implement a 35-second shot clock in high school basketball by the 2029-’30 season at their meeting on Tuesday, June 9.
The shot clock will be phased in over a four-year period beginning with the 2026-’27 season. For the first three seasons, the shot clock will be used in Hall of Champions games, holiday tournaments and summer camps, with full implementation in the 2029-’30 season.
