The Cumberland County Lady Jets improved to 3-0 in District 7-2A soccer action on Tuesday as they defeated White County, 4-0.
Senior Kara Welters scored two goals along with one each be Sophia Martinez and Liv Futrell.
Welters connected on her first goal with 13:30 remaining in the first half to give the Lady Jets a 1-0 lead at the break. Welters scored again with 32:32 remaining in the second half to extend Cumberland County’s advantage to 2-0. Martinez and Futrell tacked on a pair of goals in the second half to make the final score 4-0.
Up next for the Lady Jets is a trip to Gainesboro on Thursday to face Jackson County while White County is scheduled to host Stone Memorial.
