Girls
1. Upperman (17-3, 3-0)
Upperman has now won 12 consecutive games including a 3-0 start in District 7-3A play. The Lady Bees won a pair of road region wins last week and host Stone Memorial on Tuesday.
2. Cookeville (18-1, 3-0)
Cookeville improved to 18-1 last with a pair of double-digit District 6-4A victories over Shelbyville and Warren County. The Lady Cavs have won 11 consecutive games and host Coffee County (17-4) on Tuesday.
3. White County (20-3, 2-1)
The White County Warriorettes improved to 2-1 in District 7-3A play with a pair of wins over Stone Memorial and Cumberland County. The Warriorettes hit the road to Smith County on Tuesday.
4. Stone Memorial (15-3, 1-1)
The Lady Panthers fell at #3 White County on Tuesday 67-43 and host Smith County on Saturday in non-district action. Stone Memorial returns to District 7-3A action on Tuesday when they travel to #1 Upperman.
5. York Institute (15-3, 3-0)
York dropped a non-district game to Watertown last Saturday but got back in the win column on Friday against Cannon County, 61-44. York hosts Monterey and Cookeville this week.
Boys
1. Upperman (17-4, 3-0)
The Bees cruised to a pair of District 7-3A wins at Cumberland County and Livingston this week and are set to host Stone Memorial on Tuesday.
2. Pickett County (20-2, 3-0)
The Bobcats hit the road for a pair of District 7-1A wins at Red Boiling Springs and Clay County last week. Pickett has won 13 consecutive games and hosts Class 1A #3 Jackson County in district play on Tuesday.
3. Jackson County (17-3, 3-0)
The Blue Devils defeated Macon County last Saturday and Clay County on Tuesday to improve to 17-3 overall this season. Jackson returns to District 7-1A play on Tuesday with a trip to Class 1A #2 Pickett County.
4. Stone Memorial (10-6, 2-0)
The Panthers picked up a District 7-3A road victory on Tuesday at White County, 70-47. The Panthers took Friday off but are back in action on Saturday evening as they host Smith County.
5. Cumberland County (15-5, 1-1)
The Cumberland County Jets make their debut in this year’s UC Top 5 following a 57-53 win at White County on Friday. The Jets fell to Class 3A #1 Upperman 48-36 earlier in the week. The Jets have a week off before traveling across town to face Stone Memorial next Friday.
