SHERIFF’S GLO RUN LIGHTS UP DOWNTOWN COOKEVILLE

 

WHAT:    Sheriff’s GLO Run – Growing Leadership Opportunity

WHEN:    Saturday, October 3rd, 2015

6:00 p.m.    Children (ages 5-10) – One Mile Run

7:00 p.m.    Adults – Certified 5K Run

** Certified course in downtown Cookeville starting in front of the Sheriff’s Office

 

WHO:        Runners of all ages.  Finish Line timing will be provided by Tennessee Race Timing.

 

COST:    Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for kids during pre-registration (thru 9/15/2015) and can be purchased online at www.eventbrite.com under the name: “Sheriff’s GLO Run”. Tickets purchased at the event will be $30 for adults and $20 for children. Registration and waiver forms can be found at www.PCSOTN.com.

Proceeds will benefit the PCSD Citizen’s Resource Group, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit organization devoted to supporting community outreach initiatives of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.

 

PUTNAM COUNTY, TN – The first annual “Sheriff’s GLO Run – Growing Leadership Opportunity” will light up the streets of downtown Cookeville on the evening of October 3, 2015 from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.  A special 1-Mile Kids Fun Run will also be offered for children ages 5-10 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.  The Sheriff’s GLO Run is a Certified 5K Run sponsored by the PCSD Citizen’s Resource Group, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that supports community outreach initiatives of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department.

 

Races will take place RAIN OR SHINE and will start in front of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office on East Spring Street.  Race timing and finish line will be provided by Tennessee Race Timing.

 

The PCSD Citizen’s Resource Group was founded in October 2014. Funds raised by the organization are used to care for elderly shut-ins, assist with drug education, teach community members more about what the Sheriff’s Department does, and help acknowledge the special efforts of the deputies.
