Cookeville, TN – At approximately 12:25 p.m. on August 29, a robbery was reported at the American Bank & Trust located on Neal Street.
The suspect, a white male, entered the bank and handed a note to a teller. The note made it clear
his intent was to rob the bank. Although a weapon was not displayed, the note indicated he was
armed. The suspect fled the bank after obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, possibly in a
blue colored Honda – direction unknown.
The suspect was last seen wearing blue colored pants, a blue or gray colored t-shirt with what
appears to be a duck emblem on the front, a green colored reflective rain coat, a blue colored hard-hat, and blue Nike tennis shoes.
The investigation is being conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation with the assistance of the Cookeville Police Department.
