Apply Now for Vol State Spring Classes at CHEC
Registration is open for Volunteer State Community College spring semester classes at the Cookeville Higher Education Campus (CHEC). New and readmit students should apply now. Classes start January 17.
The college teaches Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) courses in Cookeville and for the first time is offering Advanced EMT classes at CHEC. There are two information sessions for students interested in Advanced EMT. They will be held on December 14 and 15, at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., in room 306 CHEC. Vol State classes at CHEC are offered in a traditional classroom setting and online. The course focus is general education classes in a wide variety of subject areas, including history, political science, English and ESOL. The first step for new and readmit students is to apply to Vol State. That can be done online at www.volstate.edu/apply. Students will then receive a welcome package that will help them start the registration process. Students can visit the Vol State office in Cookeville if they have any questions along the way.
