The 6th Annual Town of Byrdstown 5K Certified/3K (Non-Certified) Run Walk

corner. It will be held on Saturday, October 14th in downtown Byrdstown.

begins at 8:00AM at Town Hall. That is also the location where those who
have pre-registered will pick up their runner packets.
Early/Pre-registration is $25.00 and includes a t-shirt featuring the
event logo and sponsors for the year. Late registration is $30.00 and will
not include the t-shirt.

Entry forms may be picked up at Town Hall or the Welcome Center in
Byrdstown or can be downloaded on line from this link:
www.facebook.com/Byrdstown5K/ or email dalehollow@twlakes.net and we can
send a copy by reply.

As an added attraction at this year’s event, Justin Miller will be
performing as Elvis Presley for the spectators and participants once they
return while the scores are being tallied. Justin has generously donated
his services for this event. Many in the area know Justin and have seen
his performances over the years. He has been presenting his act since a
very young age at numerous events and benefits throughout the region. So,
everyone is invited to come by and enjoy his performance.

We would also like to thank VEC for their support of the event by awarding
the event a CustomerShare Grant in the amount of $1,800.00 to purchase a
time clock and the necessary accessories for timing the event each year.
This is the 6th Annual event. Previously we have had to rent the time
clock and equipment from a neighboring county in order to host the event.
Everyone is encouraged to participate in the VEC CustomerShare Grant. They
do a lot of good for our community by assisting a host of various
organizations with worthwhile (and community minded) projects. If you are
in charge of a local organization in the VEC Service Area, please contact
them for assistance with your project. You can learn more on their
website: www.vec.org.
