A Note From The United Way Of Greater Nashville:
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the outpouring of concern, support, donations and volunteerism you have expressed over the past week. We are so proud and humbled to be a part of a community who truly Lives United.

If you or your neighbors are looking for help, we’ve included some information below on where to turn. The Mayor’s Office has established three Disaster Assistance Centers open every day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. United Way’s Financial Empowerment Center counselors will be on-site assisting families, along with many other agencies providing essential resources.

  • Hermitage Community Center: 3720 James Kay Lane, Hermitage, TN 37076
  • Hadley Park Community Center: 1037 28th Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37208
  • East Park Community Center: 600 Woodland Street, Nashville, TN 37206
Community resources will be available at each location including:
  • Hot meals
  • FEMA registration and HUB Nashville requests
  • Trauma counseling and medical screenings
  • Resource and referral assistance provided by Metro Social Services
  • Animal wellness checks and pet supplies
  • Flu shots and environmental hazard information
  • WeGo transit passes, preparedness information and disaster health services
  • Post-disaster employment and insurance claim assistance
  • Small business support
For information regarding legal and financial tips after a natural disaster, please review this packet from the Nashville Financial Empowerment Center.

Here’s How to Help

  • Volunteer with Hands On Nashville.
  • Donate to United Way’s Restore the Dream fund or text “RestoreTheDream” to 41444.
  • Donate supplies. Contact local organizations to donate food, clothing, hygiene products, household supplies and infant and child items.
What We’ve Been Doing
  • Communicating with and donating to the American Red Cross to support immediate relief efforts
  • Working directly with local agencies to find the areas of greatest need and providing direct assistance
  • Purchasing and delivering food and supplies for sites throughout East and North Nashville
United Way has also begun the process of convening local partner agencies and government representatives to reinstate the “Restore the Dream” task force to assess the needs throughout the city and begin discussing a path forward toward long-term recovery. We’ll share more details soon on how United Way will support these efforts and how you can help.
