The Livingston Academy Lady Wildcats captured the District 6/AA girls’ soccer tournament championship with a 2-1 win over Cumberland County on Thursday night at Dekalb County High School.
The Lady Wildcats scored with 17:41 remaining in the match to secure the district title. They will host their semifinal matchup against Anderson County on Tuesday night.
The end of the tournament also saw awards given out for the season:
Freshman of the Year – Peyton Dunalp – Cumberland County
Offensive MVP – Lilly Copeland – Livingston Academy
Defensive MVP – Analese Milligan – Livingston Academy
Goalkeeper of the Year – Kelbi Young – Dekalb County
MVP – Belle Christopher – Cumberland County
