Come join the BSO for the Free Outdoor Community Concert! Bring your family, picnic blankets, and lawn chairs to Dogwood Park on September 1st for family activities and a program featuring selections from various motion pictures, samples of the season’s repertoire, and several patriotic favorites!

Art in the Park
September 1st in Dogwood Park will also feature the first annual “Art in the Park” event, from 2 – 6 p.m., leading up to the BSO performance. Come enjoy local artwork (for sale!) and learn more about the Bryan Symphony’s community nonprofit partners. All booths will have artist demonstrations or hands-on activities for the whole family. There will also be crafts and activities for children, provided by Diane Glasgow, from 6 – 7 p.m., and the Dogwood Park concession stand will be open throughout the day.

Introducing our new Office and Box Office Manager, Dr. Marco Schirripa!
Originally from Syracuse, New York, Marco Schirripa holds Bachelor of Music degrees from Ithaca College along with Master and Doctor of Music degrees from Indiana University, where he was awarded the prestigious Performer’s Certificate. Dr. Schirripa has served on the percussion faculty of Tennessee Tech since 2016, most notably directing the Drumline, Steel Drum Band, and Golden Eagle Brass. An internationally recognized performer, Marco has won numerous international solo competitions and has premiered works by a wide variety of composers. He is excited to join the Bryan Symphony Orchestra for the 2019-2020 Season and looks forward to sharing his passion and excitement for music with everyone he encounters!
