Bees Stinger Squad Strikes at the Right Time

All the hype and smack about the new rivalry football game between UHS and CHS lived up to it’s billing!
The UHS stinger squad stung first as Donovan McCallister interrupted a CHS pass and returned for a Bees touchdown. To go up 7 – 0. The Cavaliers responded as Stockton Owen fires a 13 yd TD pass, the point after was no good making it a 7 -6 lead for UHS at half time.
Both teams opened up their offenses in the second half. Owen sprinted 55 yds for a score making the score 12 – 6 Cookeville. UHS opens the 4th quarter with a 7 yd run by Zach Stewart and Trey Krolick point after touchdown making the score 14 – 12 UHS. Cavaliers come back again to take the lead on a 4 yd run by Jakob Stamps and a 2 point conversion , CHS goes back on top 20 – 14. McCallister puts the Bees up 21 – 20 as he scampers 22 yds for the score and Krolick’s extra point.
With a little over 2 minutes remaining in the game, CHS drives the ball down to the Bee’s 1 yd line first and goal. The Bees stinger squad stricks 5 times with their swarming defense to keep the Cavs out of the end zone!
