Spring is all around! Welcome to the FLW Tournament participants! It’s time to work on those spring clean-up and planting projects and get ready for Easter. It won’t be long until Mother’s Day, Prom and Graduations are upon us too. #ShopLocal for all your project and gifting needs! There will not be a newsletter next week. It is Good Friday and we along with several offices in the County will be closed. Our Annual Meeting last night went well. The Board of Directors for 2021 is in place and Officers have been elected as well. President – Tony Milsted, Vice-President – Carolyn Franklin, Secretary/Treasurer – Salli Clipp. Many thanks to David Harer and Lana Rossi for their many years of service as Officers on the Chamber Board! We will announce our March Business of the Month below.

Employers! THIS IS THE FINAL WEEK! The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) provides loans to help businesses keep their workforce employed during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis. Borrowers may be eligible for PPP loan forgiveness. SBA is currently offering PPP loans until March 31, 2021 through the local banks. People’s Bank and Trust and Union Bank here in town.

Be sure to check out the many other wonderful places to grab a bite to eat in the area – most, if not all have carry out and curbside services available for those that wish those options. April 9th, East Port Marina & Resort and The Farm @ East Port Marina will be hosting a “Paddle and Fin Podcast” Tournament. April 24 is the Annual Spring Planting Festival at Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area.
