The second round of the 2023 TSSAA football playoffs kick off Friday evening as 8 area teams won their first-round matchup including Cookeville, Upperman, Macon County, Stone Memorial, York Institute, Smith County, Gordonsville and Clay County.
All second-round games are scheduled for 7 p.m. local time unless otherwise noted. Playoff tickets are $8 through GoFan or $10 at the gate.
Second-round matchups are as follows:
Class 1A
Clay County (7-4) at South Pittsburg (11-0)
Whitwell (8-3) at Gordonsville (7-4)
Class 2A
Oneida (8-3) at York Institute (11-0)
Fayetteville (6-5) at Smith County (9-2)
Class 4A
Stone Memorial (7-4) at Upperman (11-0)
Macon County (10-1) at Red Bank (8-3)
Class 6A
Cookeville (8-3) at Riverdale (9-2)
